“The tour was good, we watched the sumo wrestlers practice for 1.5 hrs, and there was 30 min for pictures and Q&A. It was interesting to watch them train and to see them on a one-on-one fights.”

Masao was a great guide and explained all of the intricacies you would not know such as how many stables, how they are ranked, etc. The practice is real training and practice for upcoming tournaments. “This was an excellent insight into the training of real life and current sumo wrestlers at their training hall (stable). We got to watch the warm up and the training and some sparring. We then had a chance to get in the ring with one of the sumos for a little spar!! Photos afterwards and lots of time for questions! Well worth the money and not staged like some of the “dinner shows”. Haru was an excellent English speaking guide as well!”
